Weekly Challenge & Tools

In a world that is filled with so much pain and difficulty and hurt, it can be easy to be filled with despair and a feeling of helplessness. BUT the answer is always LOVE. We are told again and again in God's Word to love extravagantly. This Week’s Challenge is simple BUT incredibly powerful. In some way today, you are going to be Love in the world. There is someone God wants to Love and He needs you to do it! Take a minute to ask Him who needs a little Love today and what you could do that would express to them how valuable, seen, and known they are. Then go and do it! Please share with us what your experience was like in the comments below or on our Facebook page and INVITE others to join us! One small act of Love can literally change the world.

Listening to Music can be like focus for the soul. Owl City’s “Shine Your Way” reminds us that we each have an important gift to give when it comes to putting out Love in this world. There is something you have to give that no other person can give. And this song reminds us that when we bring our tears to the SON first they dry a bit faster. FOCUS on Him and sharing His Love with the world. Plus I love that this song kind of gets me a little excited!

This week's Meditation focuses us on LOVE and an act of Love. We take time to intentionally sit in that Love for a moment and then ask our Great God who He needs us to Love. Be open to whomever He brings to mind. If that someone isn't clear right away, be open throughout your day to someone's image or name being brought to your mind. Then LOVE them!

Focusing our mind on God's truth is very powerful. Imagine if your life depended on loving others, that you could not survive without loving the people around you. Would you be alive today?  Consider loving like that today and affirm that you are by putting the truth in first person... "Today I love others as if my life depended on it."  Think it.  Say it.  And then, do it!

Lisa is a deep-thinker, a philosopher in cute jeans and flip flops, a Nutty Professor - mom style. She recognized God's presence at an early age and has lived life mostly open to Him.  She hears His voice in books, movies, and music - no matter the genre!  She is serious about the work of living Loved, loving God, and loving people.
