As we wrap up our Masterpiece Series, we want to end with the most important truth - TRUSTING the artist! Our bible verse explains it perfectly. Saving us, revealing us, and displaying us is God's job to do. Our job is simply to trust that He knows what He is doing. Sometimes we get stuck in mistrust when we look around at the circumstances of our lives and want to understand why certain things are happening, or what comes next, or how it will ever work out. As we close out this Masterpiece journey this week, we are challenged to remember that the art itself doesn't decide where it's displayed - our Artist does. And He does so because He knows exactly who needs to view His particular art piece. So whether you're displayed in the most famous museum in the world, or the wall of somebody's home, trust that the Artist is good and knows what He's doing.
If you find trusting God to be a little tricky (and let's be honest, we all do at times) give yourself grace. You are not alone! Trust is a practice and can take time to develop. We have some great options you can try to help in this process. Consider starting your day with the meditation or using it when you are having a difficult moment. Listen to our song of the week and remember that God makes beautiful things out of dust. He literally made us out of dust! And some of His most magnificent and redeemed works of art are revealed after fierce storms. Surely He is creating something beautiful out of all the circumstances in your life. You can also join us in our weekly challenge. When you are feeling frustrated, annoyed, or overwhelmed, stop and take a deep breath. Speak what is true (squash those lies!) either in your mind or out loud while looking in your mirror. "I trust you God! And I trust who you made me to be." Notice how your day changes.
Mostly though, remember that you are God's masterpiece, dear friends. There is nothing accidental about you. You are wanted and chosen. You are accepted and approved. You are God's delight and you are so incredibly LOVED.
